Zimbabwe National Job and Skills Summit 2026

Zimbabwe stands at a pivotal juncture in its development trajectory. As the country transitions from the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1, 2021–2025) into the implementation of NDS2 (2026–2030), the imperative to create decent, inclusive, and sustainable employment has never been more urgent. The quality of jobs available to Zimbabweans — not just the quantity — will determine whether the country achieves its Vision 2030 goal of becoming an upper-middle-income economy. Against this backdrop, the Zimbabwe National Job Summit 2026 is proposed as a high-level, multi-stakeholder platform to consolidate national efforts, foster structured social dialogue, and generate actionable commitments for employment creation, skills development, green job expansion, and formalisation. Scheduled for 29–31 July 2026 at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), Bulawayo, the Summit will be co-hosted by the Tripartite Negotiating Forum (TNF) and the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare (MPSLSW), bringing together Government, Employers, and Workers within a framework of shared accountability and coordinated action.
